How Has My Writing Changed

352: New Year's Inspirational Mashup 2020 - Time4Coffee
In terms of writing, my skill has improved a lot this year. Now I'm going to speak about how my writing has changed, focusing on the discussion of the most relevant points.

This year we have done a lot of work to improve our writing skills. We started by describing the article from the Guardian, and now we can write large articles and essays containing 450-500 words. As for me, I found some interesting paraphrase tips and some compelling resources for improving my writing.

Also, I can admit that despite the great work done this year, I still have several weak points that I would like to improve in the next two years during the studying process at NSU. Undoubtedly, more sophisticated words and constructions need to be used in future works. In addition, I would also like to learn more about the topic of plagiarism better, so that in the future I will not make the mistakes that I previously used to do. My classmates, also, mentioned that it would be interesting to make out how the motivation letters and CVs are written. I can hardly disagree with their opinion.

Regarding the class work, I really like the way you comment and correct our drafts, so we can rewrite some moments and fix our mistakes. Sure, blogging is much more convenient than handwriting. This course allowed us to use modern information technology in linguistics and expand our knowledge in this area. One of the most exciting tasks for me was writing the final essays at the end of the 3rd semester. The topic of racism is very relevant in our time, and it was interesting for me to write an article about this. Moreover, I liked creating my own magazine with classmates; we support team work in our group, so it was easy for us to split into groups. Each one did his job: someone wrote articles in the magazine, someone conducted polls, and someone did the magazine’s cover. Definitely, I would like to do more group work in the future.

In conclusion, I want to say that this year was full of interesting and fascinating works, I hope that in the 3rd year I will be able to continue improving and sharpening my writing skills.
