How to save money for travelling?
Traveling around
the world? Spend your holidays somewhere on the beach under the scorching sun
or go on a bus tour of European cities? It sounds tempting, but unfortunately,
it is not possible without a material component. Money is needed to buy
tickets, pay for your accommodation and a cultural program. Clearly defined
purposes, saving some money and positive motivation help to implement holidays
plans. There are some tips and tricks that might be interesting for traveling
and other nice things.
1. Set
achievable goals
You
can dream of traveling around the world, but it’s much more realistic to buy a
ticket to Paris, to go on a weekend to Prague or to the neighboring region of
Russia. Realistic goals make their achievement easier and faster.
2. Research
travel options using different modes of transport
Emma Lunn in her article “How to save money ontravel and commuting” suggests to do some research about travel options in
the place of your destination using different types of transport. It is quite
logical to find information about transport prices before your journey and buy
a tickets in advance to be prepared for different circumstances.
3. Calculate your budget
It sounds trivially but plenty of people skip
that step during the preparation for travelling. Find out how much air tickets,
a hotel cost, add to this the amount for food, excursions, lay 5-10% on
additional costs and souvenirs. Do not forget about the fees on the road: the
purchase of seasonal clothing, tanning products, a new suitcase.
4. Find a motivation for saving money
Few people like to save and save, especially
when the cherished goal is not so close. Make sure that you are surrounded and
motivated by the atmosphere of travel. It can be colorful pictures of the
chosen vacation spot in the house, or the wallpaper on your computer. Even a
small trinket with the Eiffel Tower can cheer you up and motivate for saving
money.
How to save some extra money:
1) Plan your travels
yourself.
2) Do not use travelling
agency’s services.
3) Stay in apartments
instead of hotels
4) Travel in the
off-season.
5) Buy things at sales.
Last but not least
thing to remember, if you make travel your priority it will be easier for you
to raise the money for the journey of your dream!

Julia,
ОтветитьУдалитьas I mentioned above, what you have written is not an essay but a set of tips for travellers. However, they are well-written from the point of view of their content and organisation. Also, it's quite well written from the point of view of the language and grammar. In the future, try to meet the task requirements fully.
