My favorite book

Murder on the Orient Express: Book Cover on BehanceLast term during our reading class I had an opportunity to read “Murder on the Orient Express” by Agatha Christie. I have already watched the film, so reading the book was intriguing for me. The book is easy to read, so I didn’t have any problems while reading it. As for the person, who really enjoys detective stories Agatha Christie is one of the best authors whose books have an unpredictable plot and ending. I love her style of writing, so I have chosen this book immediately.

The story occurred sometime during the winter of 1925 to 1933 and the setting began on the Taurus Express. The whole book was centered on the murder of one passenger. Hercule Poirot – the main character tried to reveal the case. There were 12 passengers in the train and Hercule Poirot had to collect the testimonies of all of them. According to the story, all passengers are closely connected with each other. I don’t want to give you spoilers, because it’s better to read the whole story by yourself. The only thing I want to say you is that the ending will surprise you.

As for all Agatha Christie’s books that one has a kind of ‘happy end’, Hercule Poirot shows his perfect logic and intelligence in investigation the crime. I was glad to read these story.

For all people, who loves reading detective stories, I can highly recommend this book, because it has: 1) unpredictable plot; 2) interesting characters; 3) Hercule Poirot’s schemes and notes during his investigation; 4) easy language that immerses you in the 1920s. Enjoy!

  2. Things to remember:
Hercule Poirot – the main character tried to reveal the case: having no linking verb and using the dash are used in Russian, not in English
for all people, who loves reading detective stories: "people" is plural; but you usaed "who loves reading" with it
